We rely on the generosity of our friends, volunteers, and local governments for donations to support our mission of historic preservation and education. CCHS is incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas and operates under federal law as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit. 

Contributions help fund all aspects of our mission, including the preservation, documentation, research, and interpretation of the area's history. They also enable us to serve the public with an admission-free museum and ensure that the historic Clark Hotel building is preserved for future generations to enjoy. The building is designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
